BORDER PATROL AGENTS AMBUSHED BY ARMED SUSPECT AT MCALLEN FACILITY, SHOOTER KILLED

Border Patrol agents were reportedly ambushed by an armed suspect in tactical gear outside a Border Patrol annex facility in McAllen, Texas, on Monday morning. The suspect opened fire with a rifle as agents arrived at the facility, according to multiple federal and state law enforcement sources cited by Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin.

The gunman was fatally shot by local police and federal agents, who returned fire on the scene. Authorities believe the incident was a “purposeful ambush” targeting federal personnel.

No injuries were reported among U.S. Border Patrol agents. However, one McAllen police officer may have been wounded during the exchange but is reportedly in stable condition, according to early reports.

Officials have not released the identity of the shooter. A press conference is expected later in the day to provide further details and confirm the timeline of events.
