FORMER OKLAHOMA TEACHER ARRESTED IN DEADLY STABBING OF MARRIED COUPLE AT ARKANSAS STATE PARK

Arkansas State Police announced the arrest of 28-year-old Andrew James McGann in connection with the fatal stabbing of a married couple at Devil’s Den State Park on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

McGann, a resident of Springdale and a former teacher in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, was taken into custody at 4:57 p.m. on July 30 at a local business identified as Lupita’s Body Salon. He faces two counts of capital murder, authorities confirmed.

The victims, Clinton David Brink, 43, and Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, were attacked while hiking with their two daughters, ages 7 and 9, who were unharmed and are now in the care of family members.

According to police, the father was attacked first. Cristen Brink reportedly moved the children to safety but returned to assist her husband and was then fatally attacked. McGann is said to have confessed to the killings, which investigators believe may have been random. The investigation remains ongoing.
