Colbert, who took over the show in 2015 after David Letterman&#8217;s retirement, informed the audience during Thursday\u2019s taping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis isn\u2019t just the end of our show,\u201d Colbert said. \u201cIt\u2019s the end of <em>The Late Show<\/em> on CBS.
