Her nomination followed the withdrawal of Trump\u2019s initial pick, Ed Martin, amid reported opposition from Senate Republicans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to her television career, Pirro served as an assistant district attorney, county judge, and district attorney in Westchester County, New York.
