Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is calling\u00a0for improved\u00a0trade relations\u00a0between the United\u00a0States and China, stating that\u00a0access to the\u00a0Chinese market\u00a0is critical for\u00a0American competitiveness\u00a0in artificial\u00a0intelligence\u00a0technology and\u00a0a “significant\u00a0source of revenue” for his company.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an interview aired on FOX Business, Huang emphasized the importance of re-entering the Chinese market to maintain the U.S. tech sector\u2019s global leadership. He noted that the current U.S. export restrictions have halted Nvidia\u2019s AI chip sales to China, with zero revenue expected for the next two quarters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Huang described the stalled access as unfortunate given China represents approximately a $50 billion AI chip market, potentially growing to $200 billion by the end of the decade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He believes that access to China benefits both countries by supporting their ecosystems and industries, and expressed hope for a resolution that allows American companies to compete fairly in China and worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CEO\u2019s comments come amid ongoing U.S. government export controls to limit China\u2019s access to advanced AI chips, part of strategic efforts to maintain technology leadership over geopolitical competitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

President Trump recently reaffirmed the ban on exporting Nvidia\u2019s most advanced chips to China but suggested earlier that the topic might be discussed with Chinese President Xi Jinping, though it ultimately was not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
