PARANORMAL INVESTIGATOR DAN RIVERA DIES SUDDENLY WHILE TOURING WITH ANNABELLE DOLL

According to a New York post article, Dan Rivera, a well-known paranormal investigator and U.S. Army veteran, died suddenly Sunday night while on tour in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, with the infamous Annabelle doll. He was 54. According to the New England Society for Psychic Research (NESPR), Rivera was the group’s lead investigator and had just completed a three-day, sold-out stop at the historic Soldiers National Orphanage.

Emergency crews were called to Rivera’s hotel late Sunday night, where CPR was performed, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, The Evening Sun reported. His cause of death has not yet been determined.

Rivera was known for his appearances on the Travel Channel’s Most Haunted Places and as a producer on Netflix’s 28 Days Haunted. He was actively touring with NESPR to showcase Annabelle, the allegedly haunted doll that inspired The Conjuring film series and was once housed in the Warrens’ occult museum.

Rivera is survived by his wife, Sarah, and their four children. Fellow paranormal investigators, including Ryan Buell, paid tribute to Rivera’s impact on the field and his role in continuing the legacy of Ed and Lorraine Warren, who founded NESPR in 1952.
