President Trump raised the urgency of accelerating efforts to halt active military operations in the region.
The two leaders also reviewed the situation in Syria, with both agreeing to continue diplomatic dialogue. While no concrete agreements were disclosed, the Kremlin described the tone of the call as constructive and forward-looking.
