A 40-year-old D.C. man has been charged after allegedly firing at a driver in the 500 block of 60th Street NE.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has announced the arrest of a suspect connected to a September shooting in Northeast Washington.
According to police, the incident occurred on Friday, September 26, 2025, at approximately 12:37 a.m. when Sixth District officers responded to reports of gunshots in the 500 block of 60th Street NE.
The victim told officers that the suspect shot at him while he was driving, striking his vehicle. The victim was not injured in the gunfire.
On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, MPD arrested 40-year-old Dominic Lewis Hansberry, of Northeast D.C. Hansberry is charged with:
- Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun)
- Unregistered Firearm
- Unregistered Ammunition
Police also confirmed that the firearm believed to have been used in the offense has been recovered.
The investigation remains ongoing.
