‼️ Maduro Regime Threatens Iberia, Air Europa, and Plus Ultra with Traffic Rights Revocation Over Flight Suspensions

Venezuelan Government Demands Immediate Resumption of Flights
to Caracas Amid Security Alerts

The Maduro regime has threatened to revoke the traffic rights of Spanish airlines Iberia, Air Europa, and Plus Ultra if they do not immediately resume flights to Caracas following a wave of suspensions triggered by safety alerts over Venezuelan airspace.

The suspensions followed warnings by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) advising airlines to exercise extreme caution when flying over Venezuela due to a deterioration in security and increased military activity around the country.

The FAA’s NOTAM KICZ A0012/25 warned that potential threats at various altitudes could pose risks to aircraft during flight and on the ground at Venezuelan airports, including those in the Maiquetía region serving Caracas.

As a result, several airlines, including Avianca, TAP, Gol, and Iberia, canceled or adjusted flight operations to and from Venezuela.

The Maduro government interprets these safety warnings as politicized measures designed to isolate the country and pressured the airlines to resume normal service or face losing their operating rights.

The airspace concerns arise amid heightened U.S. naval operations in the Caribbean and Pacific focusing on anti-drug trafficking missions that Venezuela views as aggressive acts aimed at regime change.

International aviation bodies and industry groups have called for clear communications from Venezuela to ensure safety and stability for airlines operating in the region.

The situation highlights ongoing geopolitical tensions affecting commercial aviation and regional security dynamics, with passengers impacted by the disruptions.
