Trump Speaks Again With Netanyahu Amid Intensified Strikes on Iran

President Donald Trump spoke again on Friday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss the escalating military operations against Iran, the White House confirmed. Although officials did not release further details, the call marked the second conversation between the two leaders in as many days. The dialogue comes as Israel expands its air campaign across Iranian territory in what is now a rapidly intensifying conflict.

Throughout the day, Israeli Air Force jets struck multiple targets inside Iran. According to Israeli military spokesperson Effie Defrin, the strikes killed three senior Iranian military officers, disrupted nuclear weapons development by targeting key facilities, destroyed missile launchers, and dismantled command structures of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps—including its top commander. In response, Iran launched a wave of retaliatory missile strikes targeting Israeli air bases and military installations.

President Trump, speaking to CNN, praised Israel’s initial operation as “very successful” and reaffirmed that the U.S. is assisting in intercepting incoming Iranian missiles. On his social media platform Truth Social, Trump reiterated his administration’s unwavering support for Israel and expressed hope that the offensive would help force a breakthrough in nuclear negotiations with Tehran. “This is Day 61 since the original deadline—and Iran still hasn’t signed,” he noted.
