The 19-year-old creator with over 28 million followers was taken into custody outside a Miami Beach smoke shop after an early-morning encounter with police.
Jack Doherty, one of the most widely followed YouTubers and social media creators in the country, has been arrested in the Miami area, according to the Miami Beach Police Department.
Doherty, known for his high-energy stunt videos and livestreams, was handcuffed outside a smoke shop and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center just before 9 AM. He faces three charges:
- Possession of a controlled substance (amphetamine)
- Possession of marijuana (under 20 grams)
- Resisting arrest without violence
Police say Doherty was carrying amphetamine, a prescription medication typically used for ADHD and narcolepsy, along with a small quantity of cannabis.
Video circulating online shows Doherty arguing with officers moments before being detained. His bond has been set at $3,500, which he has not yet posted, according to jail records.
Hours before his arrest, Doherty was livestreaming on Parti and sharing footage from a Miami yacht, continuing the fast-paced, high-visibility lifestyle that has made him a controversial but highly watched figure.
Doherty, who first went viral in 2017 for videos of himself flipping objects, now has a massive digital footprint:
- 15+ million subscribers on YouTube
- 13+ million followers across Instagram and TikTok
This marks one of the most serious legal incidents involving the creator to date, though his team has not yet issued a statement.
