TRUMP POSTS VIDEO CLAIMING SIX DEMOCRATIC LAWMAKERS ARE “BEHIND BARS” FOR ALLEGED SEDITION — NO OFFICIAL ARRESTS CONFIRMED

The video, released by President Donald Trump, depicts six Democratic members of Congress “in jail,” but federal authorities have not announced charges or arrests.

President Donald Trump posted a video on social media Tuesday showing six Democratic members of Congress “behind bars,” claiming they “fomented sedition” involving elements of the U.S. military and the CIA.

As of this publication, no federal agency has confirmed any arrests, charges or detentions of sitting lawmakers. The video appears to be a political piece produced by the Trump team, not evidence of ongoing legal proceedings.

The video, stylized with dramatic visuals, frames the lawmakers as having participated in a “seditious conspiracy,” though no indictments, warrants, or public DOJ statements corroborate Trump’s allegation.

The White House has not clarified whether the video refers to an official investigation, a classified matter, or is intended as political messaging.

Democratic leaders immediately denounced the video, calling it “dangerous disinformation” and warning it could escalate partisan hostility. Several lawmakers featured in the clip have publicly stated they have not been contacted by federal authorities and have dismissed Trump’s claims as false.

Neither the Pentagon nor the CIA have issued statements supporting Trump’s allegations of military or intelligence involvement in any sedition attempt.

The Department of Justice declined to comment when asked whether any investigation was underway.
