NEW VIDEO SHOWS NEW JERSEY COP WHO “SNAPPED” THREATENING TO BURN DOWN HOUSE DURING RAMPAGE ARREST

Former Toms River Police Officer Rebecca Sayegh — now banned from law enforcement for life — unleashed an expletive-filled tirade as officers arrested her after she smashed her ex-boyfriend’s door with a baton.

Newly released bodycam footage shows former Toms River Police Officer Rebecca Sayegh, 32, admitting she “f–king snapped” before threatening to “burn your house down next” during her arrest earlier this year following a violent rampage at her ex-boyfriend’s home.

Sayegh, who has since been permanently banned from working in law enforcement in New Jersey, was taken into custody in April after she used her police baton to bash in the front door of her ex-partner’s home during a late-night confrontation.

“I JUST F–KING SNAPPED” — THE BODYCAM VIDEO

The footage shows Sayegh on the phone when officers arrive:

“I just f–king snapped,” she says.
She rants about her ex’s new girlfriend, calling her a “random f–king bitch,” and complains that her belongings were still in the house.

When officers tell her to come with them, she refuses, yelling:

“No — we’re gonna go when I get all my s–t!”

She threatens to call her PBA union rep before an officer restrains her, prompting her to scream:

“What the f–k are you doing?”

As she’s escorted down the driveway, she shouts another threat:

“I’m gonna f–king burn your house down next, you piece of s–t!”

Police previously stated she threatened to burn down her ex-boyfriend’s home specifically.

In a bizarre moment of self-awareness, she adds:

“At least my hair’s nice today,”
acknowledging her meltdown would soon become public.

CHARGES & CONSEQUENCES

Sayegh pleaded guilty to the April 25 attack, during which she confronted her ex and his new girlfriend and shoved both of them.

On Nov. 17, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office announced she had “forfeited all future public employment in the State of New Jersey.”

The former officer had previously lived with her ex for five years before the relationship ended.
