⚖️ Meghan King Temporarily Loses Custody of 3 Children Amid Medication Allegations

Former RHOC Star Investigated by Child Protective Services Over Alleged Unprescribed Ritalin for Son

Meghan King, reality TV star known from “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” has temporarily lost custody of her three children following a Child Protective Services (CPS) investigation alleging that she gave her son Ritalin without a prescription.

The investigation was triggered after a school employee reported concerns that King asked a school nurse to administer medication to her son that was not prescribed by a doctor.

The three children include eight-year-old daughter Aspen and seven-year-old twins Hart and Hayes, whom Meghan shares joint custody of with ex-husband and former MLB player Jim Edmonds.

Following the CPS inquiry, custody was temporarily awarded solely to Edmonds, while King has been granted supervised visitation rights pending a court hearing scheduled for early December to determine permanency.

The custody arrangement follows a contentious period between King and Edmonds, including a May 2025 incident where police were called due to a disturbance involving King attempting to access Edmonds’s home to see their daughter.

Kortnie O’Connor, Edmonds’s wife, was involved in the incident and initially filed a restraining order petition against King, which King later agreed to abide by.

Both sides have issued statements reflecting ongoing tension, with King alleging emotional abuse by Edmonds and his representatives denying the claims, emphasizing Edmonds’s active role in parenting.

The current custody loss marks a significant personal and legal challenge for Meghan King, with outcomes pending from the forthcoming court hearings.
